ABOUT THE EVENT

Celebrating a Powerful Launch: Standing Tall Together Foundation is Officially Launched!

We are thrilled to announce the successful launch of the Standing Tall Together Foundation! This past Saturday marked a significant milestone in our journey to support BIPOC single-parent and blended families in Edmonton through education, advocacy, and culturally grounded community initiatives.

The launch event was a testament to the strength and vibrancy of our community. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who attended, volunteered, and offered their support.

A special thank you to Councillor Jennifer Rice of Ward Ipiihkoohkanipiaohtsi for joining us and offering her valuable insights. Her presence, alongside our dedicated Board members and inspiring speakers, underscored the importance of this work and the power of collective action.

Highlights from the event included providing free access to lightly used and new clothing for families – a practical example of the support we aim to offer. The energy was palpable, with children enjoying crafts and activities (even some fun in banana suits!), demonstrating that building community can be both impactful and joyful. We were deeply moved by the young volunteers and children proclaiming their support, showing the next generation's commitment to standing tall together.

Thank you to our Founder for sharing her vision and to all speakers for their inspiring words. This launch propels us forward in our mission to challenge stigma, promote holistic family well-being, and amplify underrepresented voices.

We look forward to building on this momentum and working alongside our community to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for families to thrive.
